Inaugural Meeting of The Model Railway Club
The text of that Inaugral (sic) Meeting is:

Meeting 3 Decbr 1910
On
the above date the first meeting was held, when it was proposed by Mr
Greenly and seconded by Mr Pitt that the objects of the Society were for
bringing together those interested in Model Locomotives, steam engines,
electrical apparatus, tools etc employed in the working and construction
of Model Railways; for the exhibition & trials of models, & visits
to places of interest etc etc.
The
officers elected were as on previous page. The subscription was fixed as
follows.

The
entrance fees to form a capital fund.
The
Hony. Secty. was instructed to proceed as to opening a Bank Account: (Post
Office)
A
vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Sanders & seconded by W.R.S.S.*, to
Mr W. J. Bassett-Lowke for the tea kindly given by him.
The
members present were Messrs Greenly, Gardner, Sanders, Hale, Potter,
Fentiman, Hill, Crewe, Pitt, Rayment, Herriott, O. Jones, Smyth & Smart.
