The Toss of a Coin – David Maidment OBE

David has written a number of articles and given talks on railways, both in the UK and overseas, to enthusiasts and lay groups on his fascinating railway career. This began in 1960 on the Western Region of British Railways as a clerk in the Divisional Passenger Train Office at Paddington. By 2001 David was an Associate Principal Consultant, International Risk Management Services, undertaking major safety reviews of railways in Hong Kong and Southern Ireland, as well as work for Railtrack and Network Rail.
