A unique piece of furniture – combining a working OO gauge model railway in a craftsman made wooden table with glass top and sides.
The legs are antique Indian, and the table top structure is crafted from Indian Mahogany. The glass top and side are removeable. The table is 134cm wide, 213cm long and 77cm high.
The project was started 25 years ago, and as you can see the track provides plenty of operational intertest, with a continuous run, an elevated section and shunting. The layout itself is well advanced but the wiring wasn’t completed and there is some scenic work to finish. The sale includes all the model railway items in the pictures – ie the original East Coast box with DCC controller, locomotives, wagons, coaches & power supply, assorted battery operated scale lighting, assorted scenic materials eg flowers, animals & people. Two point levers and one point motor.
The table would also be perfect for any other modelling display, if you are interested in just the table we can discuss removing the layout and a price for the furniture.
