After a month in the paint shops we now have an ex-works engine, called “Mons Meg”.   This engine was named after the medieval cannon resident in Edinburgh Castle and the engine, when new, visited King’s Cross a few times – it should look at home on Copenhagen Fields.

There are a few more little jobs to do, but today I’ll probably make the cab windows on the MRC Demonstration Stand at Ally Pally.

Our next exhibition is at the LT Museum Depot at Acton on 7-8th July.  We’ll be putting the layout up after the open day on 29th April, when we’ll continue the southern end re-wire and energising the new loops for the central bore of Gasworks Tunnel.
